Babette shares a dressing-room with her sisters, Betty and Juliana. They do four different acts between them and their dressing-room is right by the ring doors so that their beautiful costumes are not spoilt by the rain on wet and muddy days. One of Juliana's acts is on the trapeze which she works on her own, high above the audience and without a safety net - John Allin, John Allin's Circus Life
